Phoenix is the capital and largest city in Arizona. It is the sixth most populous city nationwide, the most populous state capital in the United States, and the only state capital with a population of more than one million residents. Downtown Phoenix is alive with performing arts! You can catch amazing performances at the Phoenix Symphony Hall where you will find the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra, the Arizona Opera, and Ballet Arizona. The Orpheum Theatre is home to the Phoenix Opera. The Herberger Theater Center is the largest downtown art venue and houses three performance spaces for live theater. You can take in a music concert at either the Talking Stick Resort Arena or Comerica Theatre.






























Natural beauty and climate allows Phoenix to offer a plethora of outdoor attractions and recreational activities. The Phoenix Zoo is one such attraction. The zoo is the largest privately owned, non-profit zoo in the United States. The Phoenix Botanical Gardens is located next door to the zoo. Here you will find the largest collection of arid plants in the United States.




























Outdoor hiking is popular in Phoenix because the weather offers approximately 300 days of sunshine with scant rainfall, which is perfect for hiking! Camelback Mountain and Piestewa Peak offer a variety of trails for the beginner hiker to the well-advanced hiker. You may also choose to hike at North Mountain or South Mountain. No matter where you go, nothing beats watching the sunrise or sunset over the Valley of the Sun like sitting at the top of the mountain!
